1) Via a calendar page on the IFAS site
2) Events for the current day(or perhaps week) be on the IFAS home page
3) The calendar be available via RSS
4) The calendar be available as a calendar file that can be read by any good calendar software
5) The events relating to a club show up on the clubs page under the clubs.
Bart.
This is an interesting approach. When I make one of these posts, do I specify the start date and expiry date for that post, i.e is it possible to enter the entire years talks for a club at the start of January and have them fire automatically during the year, say have each meeting advertised for 2 weeks before the event, or if there is a public/school observing session coming soon.
Can we also make changes/deletions if plans change? Can I look up a list/table of time events that are currently in the system?

To your first question, not quite, you specify a duration (in the case of say science week or a meteor shower that will be days) and then how long in advance you would like it to be advertised. The answer to all your other questions is yes.

I specify the duration, 1 day
I specify how long in advance, 2 weeks
Presumably event details, title+location+ time(8pm etc) .
You didnt explicitly state it, but I presume I enter a start date which might be the same day as the first (and in this case the only) day of duration.
Given this system, I can enter the entire club meeting list in one go and they get fired out as the year goes by.

Ok, So say I'm making up one of these posts for a club meeting,
I specify the duration, 1 day
I specify how long in advance, 2 weeks

That's the way I'm envisioning it in my head yes.
