Hi Deirdre,
This is a project that took fifteen months to complete and which required a lot of reverse engineering. It is amazing how difficult it is to nail the moon just right and I almost justify all of the efforts involving composites.
To add insult to injury, there is only a six-minute window where the lighting of the moon is in balance with the immediate surroundings and this brief window is the only opportunity we have to get everything right.
I am now working on reverse engineering the azimuth and altitude of the Parthenon from a specific location I have in mind - the legendary Hill of the Nymphs - so as to do something similar once again.
Anthony.
