A few shots from Louth can be seen here:
www.cloudynights.com/ubbthreads/showflat.../sb/5/o/all/fpart/13
.
OK, they're really pictures of the mostly-complete observatory, but they happened to be taken the morning of the snow.

Nice pictures and nice observatory Jeff. What do you (or will you) house in it?

A 16" LX200GPS SCT. I finally got back out today during daylight to take some pics of the inside, and the camera said: replace battery. Sigh.

JeyJey,
I dont see a pic at that link, either way thats a beast of a scope.
I hope the setup brings you many great views of the sky.

Dave --
I think it might depend on your paging preferences on Cloudy Nights. The URL specifies the page (13), but if your settings display a different number of posts per page, then you might get something different. Anyhoo, there's 4 pictures of the snow-covered observatory about 20 posts before the end of the thread.
So far, all I'm getting is jittery images of the sky. My dec motor or motor controller board doesn't seem to be quite right.

Ah yes, I have alot of experience fixing probs like this in the LX.
Does the dec access wobble even with the dec clutch locked ??
IF so, turn the scope off, and push the dec slow motion control UP, this makes the worm fully engage the gear, this happens as the tension spring either gets loose or actually contracts in ther cold and doesnt push as hard as it should. If this isnt the problem, describe exactly whats happening and we'll try help.
