Perhap because light travels faster than sound, some people appear bright until you hear them speak.

I'm just curious to see how many plugs for his business he can squeeze into those five minutes!

Yes, lets not forget that its a business he's running here, I'll be recording it so I can play it back in slow motion with sound, I'm not sure I'll be able to keep up

Sorry I'm relatively new to the scene so I don't know all the history behind this - BUT - I ran a mile the first quote this guy gave me for a scope - more than three times the price off the Internet. Apparently he doesn't allow anyone at "his" star parties that haven't bought one of "his" scopes. For these reasons alone the guy should be run out of town. He is doing Irish Astronomy serious damage with this kind of attitude. Who is going to be their next victim?

I got it too and rust rolled around laughing ..... AI's exadurations are getting more and more rediculous, bad enough everything always being on fire (blazing this and blazing that) but the above email is just utterly ludicarous .... do they honestly expect anyone to take them seriously?

OK, I suggest we avoid going down the "we all hate David Moore" road again ... it's been travelled ... repeatedly .... and seldom without incident!

Like him or loath him, he is an excellent publicist and he does get astronomy a good bit of press coverage.
Cheers
