This post must be a first for the boards, buthere goes.

I have not been able to find my green laser pointer for months now, and I am wondering, on the slightest hope of an off-chance, could I have lost it at say Connaught, Cosmos, or some other meeting etc. Has anyone heard of anyone else inexplicably having a second laser pointer they know not where it came from?

You might have lost it in turkey, its the only place I can think of where you could turn it on and it would not have looked out of place.

Nah I think we'd have noticed a green laser pointer in the Hotel. A red one on the other hand... :-)
