As for the American company, I ordered from Scopetronix and reading other comments by IFAS members and on the forum at Cloudynights, I am beginning to suspect that they might be out of business. Their ads no longer appear in Sky & Telescope which reinforces my belief.
To be on the safe side I am going to e-mail them and cancel the order.
Does anyone else out there have any additional info?

There was talk about the having gone bust a while ago. But I haven't heard anything about that recently.

Greenwitch and SCS astro are their dealers in the UK so they _may_ have what you were looking for in stock.

Paul, SCS Astro in the UK are very good, I have bought from them over the years, and I find that they are very good

I just recieved an e-mail today from the English company, I can tell that the company is Green Witch, they are waiting recieval of the part I ordered.

It's just good to know that they did reply, eventually.

Sorry, just noticed this post. They've been of business since early December. Some enthusiasts actually went to their premises in Florida to find out what was going on and found the place cleared out.

Apparently the website was accepting orders after they jumped ship.

i had a similar expirence last year. i placed an order got an email back then nothing. i eventually sent them an email cancelling the order and got nothing from them. thankfully so far i have not been charged either. they seem to have gone out of business even though their site is still running.
