If you right click where the avatar should be and click on "Properties", you can see the address of the avatar. It's :
www.avatarist.com/avatars/Funny/Broken-Image-Fighters.gif

If you then copy the address to the address bar in your browser, it works.
Don't know why it's not working as an avatar. Guess your gonna have to use some of your moderator super powers to fix it...

comes up with a permission denied message for me

How I got it to work was to remove the http:// before the www part. Whilst I could see in your Profile, John D, that you did indeed have it set as an avatar, it wasn't until I removed the aforementioned prefix that it came up under your name as I (still) see it here.

It did that for me at first too Al, but when I took out the http:// part i the address bar, it then came up. Works either way for me now though.
