Straight from
www.spaceweather.com
: A strong geomagnetic storm is possible during the next 24 hours. The cause: a coronal mass ejection (CME, movie) hurled into space by an X2-class solar flare on Nov. 10th. The CME is not heading directly toward Earth, but it might deliver a glancing blow to our planet's magnetic field on Nov. 12th. Remain alert for auroras. Maybe Seanis you may see something.

The chances of a geomagnetic storm tonight are declining. A coronal mass ejection was expected to hit Earth's magnetic field earlier today, but so far there has been no strong impact. The cloud, which was not hurled directly toward Earth, may have missed the planet.
