yea, I hate reading it, mind you, I found the autostar fairly intuituve.
Just my opinion, but if you have a problem with your ETX or skylux, be it thats its gone awol or you dont know how to use it, I'd advise going to your nearest astronomy club or society, a list is given on the right hand side of the front page..
Our next meeting is on the 1st of December (next Wedneaday) in Limerick in Mary I college at 8pm (SAC), and we'll have a quick once over guide/demo of the ETX. The main talk is on the star of Bethleham, now is that in the ETX database???, hmm.....
I know, a shameless promotion.

Must say I have never noticed anything provoking such a response on the bulletin board in the past as these Lidl telescopes and there have been some lively topics for sure
Next we will have an etx users group in Ireland
Spotted on forum earlier that LIDL Portugal would be selling the EXT for €200 tomorrow

Meade have an educational video on using the etx that you can view at
www.meade.com/educational/etx%20videos/
You will need at least a broadband connection to watch this though.
It is based on the ETX-90 -> 125 but still of use to the ETX-70

Spoke to my cousin Jim in Arizona tonight he has an ETX70 and is very pleased with it and for its portability and ease of use .
Regarding the availability of them again ,he tells me that they are a discontinued line in the US and only the larger ETX apertures are available now.
I'm posting link to .org site on local papers as a lot of people bought here.
Great spring board for astronomy well done LIDL.

Tullamore Astronomical Society is having an observing session on Monday night next (Nov. 29th). Anyone wishing to attend is to meet at the carpark outside Tullamore Furnishings/Haven Hire in the Tanyard at 8pm and we will all head out to the Observatory in Clonminch together. All are welcome to attend. This, I'm sure will be the first night out for a number of new ETX 70s (mine anyway!) and will be a good time to give them a quick once over also. Below is a link to a map showing where we meet in Tullamore.
See you there!

Perhap because light travels faster than sound, some people appear bright until you hear them speak.
