Bill - can you let me know if you arrange a date/time? If I can make it, I will. You'd be about an hour away I guess...
How are you getting on with the DSI? I'm finding it very hard going...
Cheers
Dave

Dave,
Your more than welcome anytime. Just let me know when you can make it.
I'm getting extremely frustrated with the DSI. I have downloaded all available updates, but it still insists that "no imager is found" and "telescope not connected". The same thing with the LPI that came as standard with the scope. I have seen some great things tonight, and so wished the DSI would image them for me. It's driving me mad. I can only conclude that my laptop is just not up to it.
Bill.

All Irish astronomers use soup, and they get it from me!

Hi Bill,
I live in meath too. About a 2 miles outside Slane. I got an ETX-70 from Lidl before christmas. I have tried a number of times to get it aligned but to no avail. I think I am missing something obvious. I would like to meet up with people in the meath area who are interested in Astronomy. Do bear in mind that I am a complete novice. Let me know when you are thinking about holding a meeting.
Regards
Dave

Hi Dave,
I'm not arranging a meeting or anything, just opening an invite to anyone who wants to come along anytime to either learn with me or teach me. you are most welcome anytime, just PM me when you want to come along. Like you I'm a complete novice. Just got my first scope the week before Christmas as well.
Bill.
