Carrying around my 20" obsession is going to kill me,
but what a way to go.
+ 12"LX200, MK67, Meade2045, 4"refractor

Use the software that comes with the webcam and save the view of Jupiter etc as a avi file, push the file through registax, and thats it.
Seriously, thats all you need to do.
Use a film barrel and tape to attach the webcam to the scope.

some tips on getting the AVI
Collimate collimate collimate (if you have a sct or reflector)
Don't rush the focusing it may take 30mins to get it right!
-Saturn focus on the Cassini Diviision
-Jupiter focus on the EBs
Leave all the webcam settings in the middle bar the exposure and gain. Use these to get the brightness right. I increase the gain unti la slight bit of saturartion shows then bring it back a tad.
Saturn an avi of 1000 frames at 5fps
Jupiter 700 frames at 5fps
Registax
Let me know when you've got the avi ready and we'llgo thro' it step by step.
