Wanted: astrophotos taken with modest scopes. was created by Seanie_Morris
Hi all,

I am working on a lecture for TAS at the moment, and I am looking to get a few photos some members here might have. The conditions are that it is with any telescope up to a 10" reflector. The purpose of my lecture is basically what amateur astronomers can see in the coming months with their telescopes. As hardly anyone has ever attempted photos with a Skylux or similar, I am broadening the range, as most people with this kind of scope aspire to have, and one day will succeed, in getting a larger telescope.

I need photos of:

Jupiter
Saturn
any objects in Leo, Ursa Major, Gemini, Virgo, Cassiopeia - or any circumpolar constellations
Close-ups of the Moon

Either upload them to the Files setion here, or preferrably (if they are large) can you email me at:
tullamoreastronomy@yahoo.co.uk

I'm in a bit of a rush for them too!

Many thanks,

Seanie.

Seanie - you're welcom to my pic of Saturn (C8 SCT) taken in very poor conditions. I also posted a much better photo of the Venus transition which you are also welcome to - taken with a piggybacked olympus digital camera. Oh, and a sunspot taken with the C8 and a Meade DSI (though a Baader filter of course)
