Now hold your horses... I might be able to 'ply' everyone with drink, but it'll be 7-Ups and Britvics! There were no stipulations about it having to be alcohol!

And, to 'dampen' your expectations guys, I am still undecided about being able to get down.

If there is a willingness and if the weather complies (a big if!!) would anyone consider an out of city venue for observing, how about a beach carpark on the edge of connemara which has some of the darkest skies in Ireland.

Count me in Ronan. Can't wait!

Count me and my daughter in too if it's Friday evening for the observing. Will prob only bring bins though as tis too far to bring the scopes.
Fingers crossed for clear skies but hopefully not as cold as it is right now!
We are hoping to arrive at the hotel early Friday evening.

Just had a look on Metcheck and the forecast for Galway is 96% cloud on Fri evening and 100% on Saturday :cry:
