If there is a willingness and if the weather complies (a big if!!) would anyone consider an out of city venue for observing, how about a beach carpark on the edge of connemara which has some of the darkest skies in Ireland.

Im up for it!

We shall not cease from exploration
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time. . . .

I think that is a good idea Ronan. Galway's city lights are never a friend as it is. The further you go, within reason, the better.

Well the weather is finally looking up with High presure over Ireland all next weekend, lucky was not this wkend. So if anyone does fancy a nights observing away from Galway city Lights, then please send me a PM and we can meet an arange things and a location, have just the place in mind.

But dont expect me to bring a scope, As i live 50 miles from Galway my car is too full of other stuff for the following day, just no room for a scope.
Hope everyone coming to Galway enjoys the Day.

P.S. Listen out on RTE Radio for me this week as i will be on air, hopefully
