All the info regarding the venue etc will be released shortly.

Just on the travel thing,
I calculated a few routes on the AA website
from towns and city's around Ireland to Lisdoonvarna.
From closest to furthest to give an idea of distance.
(it may be closer than some of you think!)

The funny thing is a few of the NIAAS members were talking about heading down to WSP a few days early this year to incorporate a visit to the Burren.

We'll just incorporate a visit to Birr on the way back up instead.

Just want to add to the comments here, Congrats to Frank, Steven and Dave for such a bold yet courageous move to the Burren region. I understand this was a very tough decision on them but having an event there reminds me of the Kielder Forest Star Party held in the UK every autumn with its pitch dark skies. The Burren has all that and more.

Also good to see the one day event catching on like Galway and Cork, something we were slagged off about for years, but in these challenging times its makes more sense and a lot less hassle and money.

And again well done lads, will see you there and hopefully bring a few more people from GAC to the Whirlpool.
