we arrived on saturday evening and set up tents. after lighting the camp fire we we started the barbie. the skies were clear at this point with just a hint of high wispy cloud as the sun set. after we had eaten a healthy meal of Prime steak..(steak was for Seanie, high maintenance sort of guy:lol:) burgers, sausages, spicy chicken wings and white bread, we set our chairs around the campfire and looked upwards. while we were eating the skies had clouded by had not fully done so. we seen a couple of fireballs including particularly bright one with a greenish glow
as a social event it was a great success, with good company, nice food in a beautiful little Oasis tucked away from the world
we retired to our respective tents about 2am and had cleared the site by mid-morning on sunday

Hi Graham,
We did see it, I gave the following reply to your other thread:
6 of us saw it Graham! We were out at the MAC Observing Site in Clonminch outside Tullamore. We were all just chatting around the campfire after eating up some tasty food when we all were happening to be looking up and spotted a very bright bollide through the broken cloud heading to the south. It was quick, and at first no one reported it breaking up, but we did get it to within 10 degrees of the horizon. It was bright, fast and a blue-green tint. I'll try and get some of the others to give their version of the sighting too.
Later,
Seanie.

Hi all,
MAC members are getting together again, weather permitting, on Saturday night (14th). Same as before: StarBQ, easy chairs, burnt food, campfire, fun... you get the picture!
Some of you have been in touch about it - directions are as above in this thread.
Hope to see you on Saturday evening/night!
Clear Skies,
Seanie.
