HI all,

i braved the freezing temp i got out there was a breaking in the cloud had my sky-scout on hand an a pair of zummell 25x100 binos i found tuttle at last and i as set up my 8" for saturn it clouded again...saw some meteors aswell 2 to be precise....my scope is on the ready for saturn go away clouds :x

I've bad news for you.
Just checked

and it looks like there is a band of thick
(probably snow filled)
could heading our way rapidly.
I'd say you've about an hour or so to try and catch it.

Fair play to ya Tony. Isn't it great fun freezing your proverbials off in the hope that the clouds just *might* stay away long enough to allow you to see something.

Ye i know i must be nuts!! trying hold up them binos with numb fingers :lol: have the 8" out the back on stand by for a break too late to be going off so im out the back of the house

its 01.46 the clouds have beat me into submission im heading for bed :(

What a night! Amazing clear skies all night. I have just come in after 8 hours of imaging in one session with two telescopes simultaneously. In fact the transparency seemed to improve even more the last two hours.
Even the R.H was 63% at 1700 hrs was hovering around 87% for the rest of the night. The temperature has been peaking at -4d C.

Your lucky so to get the 8hrs...it was broken cloud base here lastnight i was in and out all night :roll: hopefully i might get a break the weekend
