dont know, but one thing I do know is that there is a faint low NLC on right now on the northern horison, have a look if you have a clear horison.

Hi,
A bright Notilucent Cloud display last night (17/18 June 2009).
Brightness = 3; Type = III.
Present from (at least) 22.30 UT to (at least) 00.15 UT.
For photo see:

No processing done with image!

Nice images guys, I had north horison clouds so I only saw the very top of the NLCs in the images, so it looked faint from my perspective.
I'm not in a position to travel at te moment so I couldnt get a better view. Ah well,

Last night (Wednesday) the display as seen from my area (Tullamore to Daingean) is probably the brightest NLC display I have every seen. No other clouds, clear horizon, as obvious as almost seeing a wall of trees and hedging in front of you because you take your eyes off the road too long...
