New Astro-Physics Mount was created by michaeloconnell
Astro-Physics have launched a new mount, the 250lb-capacity 3600GTO "el Capitan". Equatorial head (without counterweights or counterweight shaft) weighs in at 98kg - a nice grab-n-go!
Makes the 1200 look like a toy in comparison.

and I'd bet the price makes the previous one look like a toy aswell.
Maybe they wanted to give the madmax mount some competition before they realised it got canned.
I could easily put the obsessionator onto a mount like that, imagine !!!!!!!

How would you attach it though?
You'd probably need a solid tube, would you not?

No need IMHO, the base of the scope supports the truss and UTA as is, so once the base is well bolted to the head plate of the mount, bobs your uncle !
