oh yes, RCOS make big high end scopes, have a look at

I dont think this mount was made with meade scopes in mind.

They're talking less than $20K - and with the weak dollar, its very tempting... I'm on the list anyhow... Shipping Q1 2008

The price they are suggesting ($19k - $20k) is excellent and personally I would have expected a much higher figure. As always with Astro-Physics, great products at a relatively great price.

Phil - the 1200 is well paid for. But you're right, it makes the 1200 look a little, err, small.... Trouble is, with a mount that big, I'd need a bigger OTA... :roll:

I also have an AP1200GTO and it is a BIG mount. I cannot believe how tiny it looks relative to the other beast. I would like to see someone try and squeeze that sucker through customs. :mrgreen:
