Phil - the 1200 is well paid for. But you're right, it makes the 1200 look a little, err, small.... Trouble is, with a mount that big, I'd need a bigger OTA... :roll:

A cherry picker I suppose, I dont think you'd be going to this kind of of effort just to be looking through it.You'd need one heck of a ladder!

If you can afford to spend money on 'el Capitan' and a scope that would justify it you can probably afford a cherrypicker - in matching livery!

Does anyone now make a scope big enough for such a large and top notch mount (with Meade withdrawing its larger range)?
