I was just in Maplins (Jervis St) at lunchtime and they seemed to have plenty of those powertanks left. I also noticed that the warmed gloves and insoles are now only €12.99. ALso they have a warmed sleeveless thermal vest for 32.99.
What I wan't to know is where you carry the batteries!!! I can see it now. J.A Astronomer out for the club observing session, warmed insoles inserted, wearing an electrically warmed vest, warmed gloves, and rake of wires trailing behing and a maplin powertank in a backpack powering the lot. He steps from his car and says something like
'A small step for <pause>. man, one giant leap............'
I'll get me coat!

A very fair question, heat takes a fair amount of power, so they're either big or dont last long..What I wan't to know is where you carry the batteries!!!

Hi Fintan,
If the mount has a 12V input it might come with a cigarette lighter plug. If not, you can buy one. I will be buying one of the power packs tomorrow so you can 'try before you buy' if you want - give be a call if you want to borrow it.
Michael.
