Yes I have an astrozap dew heater. Maximum draw is supposed to be 1.18 amp per hour which is very good compared to the Kendricks.

But for this I decided to get an extra 12amp battery.:lol: (the same one as in Maplins I believe but it cost me more then €33 :oops: )

P.S. I take your point that if you can afford to get the 17ah one you should as it will save in the long run. :)

I haven't used it for astro reasons Dave. But it's worked fine around the car - pumping tyres etc. It seems to hold the charge well.

Thats fantastic value. 17AH would power my whole observatory all night! (except the PC). Also good value from maplin is a 10Amp Bench Supply (which I use). Think it's code XM19.

Also while I think of it, maplin also have the electric feet warmers and electrically warmed gloves on special too. Can't remember the price. €12.99 (I think).
