Only 3 people bought one?
There must be a lot of scopes still packaged up in boxes in folks' garages all over the country.

That's what usually happens. There are also those opportune people who will buy as many as possible, then sell them in e.g. buy and sell for twice what they bought them (closer to Christmas), yet still under the average market value. Touts, I think they are called... b*****ds. Saw it last year with this scope, and the year before with the ETX-70.

John
Better that old people should die of talk than to have young people die in war.

I wonder whether there will be an ETX70 or Skylux 70/700 this year, or something different? If they do turn up at Lidl again then I think we can assume that they are a special manufacturing run because neither are on the Meade/Bresser websites.

I have a LXD75 bought for me as a Christmas gift, and I'm holding off opening until Christmas. Is that a bad idea? I reckon the chances of it being faulty are pretty low.

It won't matter if when you open it there was a fault Peter. Just remember, after Christmas there is always the exchange-and-refund rush for a week or two! Quite a generous self-Christmas present all the same...
