Forgot to mention.
Off topic I know but...When I was in Maplin in Blackpool Cork yesterday I bought this aluminium case for 25 Euros:

(I know it's plastic but that's between me and you and the wall.)
My Canon EOS 400d will look well in it.
Peter.

They will also heat your poor little toes too.

Put all that together and you'll look like a borg!
Fintan, as mentioned layering is the secret. My preferred dress code is.
Thermal undies, tee shirt (maybe 2) jumper, cotton trousers, two pairs socks, good warm footwear, fingerless gloves, and THE MOST IMPORTANT bit, a wooly hat. None of this needs to be expensive gear. One thing to beware of don't cramp your style, wearing too much clothing too tight restricts blood flow and makes you colder. Of course alchohol is to be avoided too as this reduces body temperature. Although I have been known to partake in a little of Phil Lardner's warmed home brew cider on occassion:)

Not that you'd have to worry where you come from.
...When it gets below 30C, our Anto just wears the home knitted bermuda shorts

When a cold winter wind blows down from frozen Eastern Europe Greece can become colder than Ireland ever gets.
Anthony would agree I think.
