Aldi/Lidl Due Another Telescope Sale Soon?

Reduced range in the North, but keener pricing - ETX70AT - £99.99 - Skylux £59.99. I'm going for exploration of the Universe from the other end of the scale and getting the Microscope for £28.99 - a very well reviewed item!

The Skylux actually looks 'cheaper' on the mount it's coming with this year, but with the same price tag.

Yes the Skylux is on the alt az mount again this year.
I got one last year mainly just for the OTA.
Some were lucky a few years back when there
was an excellent quality EQ mount came as standard.
The mount was worth the 70 quid on it's own.

I would actually suggest that as a beginners' 'scope the Skylux is better off on an alt-az mount. Beginners can get to grips with the idiosyncrasies of the GEM later in their observing careers, but at the outset a 'scope that simply moves where its pointed will do them just fine!

Biker forum? I can imagine one of the folks there with an LXD75 strapped to their back, cruising down the M4 on their Harley...

Other than that, I've nothing constructive to say really, other than they must be a really really lovely bunch. I love bikers, me... (was one once...)
