Thanks for the advice & direction.
There should be NO limit. I have its older half-brother (the 300d) and I know for sure we have no limit.
Olympus is CCD rather than CMOS but its 800 and 1600 ISO settings are a "boost" feature - which might be olympus speak for noisy :
Yep. These two points bother me much... :roll:

...and now I'm being swayed. :lol:
Anyway, just to save you some time, here's the camera you'll end up buying:
Nikon D50
Decisions.
Let me know if you buy and how it goes John.

Don't know if you've read the review at dpreview yet (This is an excellent site for all digital camera reviews) - 30 page review here, comparisons, spec sheet and samples
John Yep. That's a fab site.
But tell me this: why are you going for the D50 over the 350D?
Have you some kit for it previously?
My reason for considering the E300 is the amt. of kit you get for your buck.
Though the jury's still out. :roll:

I have a Nikon film SLR with a few Nikon mount lenses, and a Nikon coolpix that I really like. So I suppose I'm a Nikon sort of person...But tell me this: why are you going for the D50 over the 350D?

But really, if it wasn't for the fact that I already had Nikon lenses then it'd be a much closer decision between the D50 and the 350D.
If the decision starts driving you a bit mad, I'd recommend reading this;
