:lol: Yeah. Didn't mention that cos I wanted to keep it short!
They don't have a link to the site directly.

On the left side of the homepg click the Didital cameras spot.
On the next pg choose Olyppus from the list of makers.
Scroll doen to the SLR section.
Follow the same route with the Cannon name to compare $.

Or better still www.pixels.ie/ will give you the camera specs. (Same $)

Hi Paul,

Don't know if you've read the review at dpreview yet (This is an excellent site for all digital camera reviews) - 30 page review here, comparisons, spec sheet and samples;

www.dpreview.com/reviews/olympuse300/

John.

P.S. And it has a 'bulb' mode, which means you can keep the shutter open indefinitely.... or until the batteries run out anyway!

Everyone in Ireland buys Meade, and they all buy them from Lidl.

Canon 350D -v- Olympus E-300

Olympus is CCD rather than CMOS but its 800 and 1600 ISO settings are a "boost" feature - which might be olympus speak for noisy : www.dpreview.com/reviews/olympuse300/page17.asp

read all of that review before you buy anyway :-)

In saying all of that, Steve's digicam reviews does mention the 8 minute limit in bulb mode;

www.steves-digicams.com/2004_reviews/e300.html

Never heard of this type of thing before, a limited bulb mode - very strange.

Anyway, just to save you some time, here's the camera you'll end up buying: :D:D:D

Nikon D50

edit: I don't actually have this camera yet - I'm going through my 'cool down' phase to make sure it's not just an impulse purchase. If I still want it as badly in a months time then I'll buy it. :wink:
