I converted it to B/W as it appears extremely red otherwise and a little odd. From what I've seen on the web, this seems to be common practice, although fee free to correct me anyone. Can I ask, why is it in balck and white ??

H -Alpha is effectively a single wavelenght in the red therefore no other colour will show on the image but red. Michael is right in that it is best converted to grayscale. Even if its to be used in a L(H_A)GB image.

It still looks great Mike, as we can see the same detail (pretty much) in b&w as with the red.

For comparison, this is what the raw image looked like - very red and lots of noise. There's alot of noise on the right side of the image especially. Might be from the battery perhaps or some sort of reflection mabey? I didn't have the camera out of the house for long before taking the image.
BTW, is there any way I could power the camera off the mains?
