Well done - good composition.

I also see that you took this in 200 years time - bit of a typo on the description field, either that or you've mastered the old time travel finally.

As you know Dave I love globulars!

Excellent shot, just shows what can be done from a city site :)

Intersting to try this with a galaxy and see how far multiple short ewxposures will get you.

Later,

Jed.

That's a lovely image Dave. That's the main target I've been trying to shoot recently, alas to no avail as it comes up over the most light polluted area of the sky from my position.

Trevor, keep in mind that that image was taken through a whole load of light pollution, WITOUT using any light pollution filter. The trick is acquiring a whole heap of shorter exposures (each one here was 90 seconds) and then using software to stack them. You can then easily process out the light pollution. A little later I'll post a single frame so you can see just how severe the light pollution is from where I took this image.

Bottom line,

Dont let light pollution stop you taking images of globulars!!

Regards and Clear Skies,

Dave.
