Great images, the whirlpool has tones of nice detail, the owl looks good, there is a tiny galaxy to the upper left ?, and M1 looks grand,
The difference between the light gathering power of the 12" and the pentax is quite obvious going on those images.

Michael,
That camera seems to have given you a new lease of life. No criticisms I'm afraid (I'm not worthy). Stars seem to be pinpoint so the wind doesn't seem a problem. Stunning images all round though I'm sure that as you get aquainted with your new toy you'll drive it to the limit. Can't wait to see your images in 6 months time after you've mastered it all. Lets see some colour is all I can say - sorry I'm visually driven.

Just did a check. Starry Night Pro indicates that there is one there alright @ mag 17.5.there is a tiny galaxy to the upper left ?
