That's a really good image Dave. I was looking at Venus this evening and to get an image that sharp must have taken alot of work as it was all over the place with turbulence when I was looking at it. Looks very nice and "natural" with no hint of overprocessing at all.

He captured the Ashen Light one time alright if memory serves me correctly...isn't that right Dave!!

I don't think you can capture cloud detail in visible light.

Cloud detail in visible light isnt possible, and how could we forget the ashen lights episode a few years back :lol:
The interesting thing for me about this is that it relates pretty well in phase to the first image in the 2004 sequence, so the planet is actually about the same size, its great what a good barlow does for the image.
