hey carl nice shot dust lanes are so defined ,great start.I've noticed the atic is turning into a popular camera,im thinking about investing in one as well, was it telescope service you dealt with and im guessing you'd recommend it

dogstar, I know Carl probably wont say too much as he works for Astronomy Ireland who are dealers for ATIK.
I have both the ATIK16HR (mono) and the ATIK16HRC (Colour) cameras. Having had the mono camera for a few years I can recommend it wholeheartedly. The price/performance ratio is tremendous. Of course you can get a better camera, but expect to pay over 3 times the price to get a camera which is definitely not 3 times better.
If you dont fancy shelling out €1800 lids or so for the HR cameras the ATIK16IC looks a similar spec, just a smaller chip and (I think) comes in around €500.
You can see the images I take with these cameras here;

Ian King Imaging is doing an offer at the minute for the ATIK16HR (mono) with a free manual filter wheel.
Carl, excellent image & you could probably get away with sharpening it more without it getting too grainy. Whats the dark band in the lower right? Vignetting?
