Thanks for the comments lads. When i get the guiding up and running i will be able to do a lot longer exposures next will be an LRGB image I'm very impressed with the camera so far.

Very nice effort involving a tough subject with high dynamic range! I really like the perfect focus throughout the field and also the nicely captured dust lanes.
If you would like a little project on the side, here is something which I had in mind for myself: extragalactic globular clusters!
M31 has about 500 such clusters which can be imaged and which are something unique. Just a thought.

Well, it's true! The dusty detail for this black and white image has is quite superb. Imagine how better it's going to get as you get more practise in. The only gripe might be the actual core looks over exposed slightly, but doesn't show like that because it is in greytones, not white.

I wonder how to not to over expose the core as I said I only did 39 x 30 sec exposures with 1x1 binning.What would the core be like if I did a 5 min exposures
