Nice one Frank, I think I prefer the second one simply because of the colour. I always notice that the winter stars are so bright once you see them again at this time of the yeat for the first time..

Thanks for the reminder. Orion is my favourite winter constellation (Cygnus for summer) and it brings back a lot of sweet memories. I have also been enjoying Orion's rise during late each evening and I am eagerly awaiting for another month or so prior to going after it full steam and the many gems it has to offer.

I like the second image best as it shows the colour of some stars like there in M45 very nice. I look forward to more of your images this winter and I hope myself to sketch the best M42 I can get to see.
