Perigee Moon was created by michaeloconnell
Image taken last night of the Moon with Canon 400d and TEC140

Any idea when a good apogee full Moon will be 'round?

Constructive comments are of course appreciated.

Excellent shot Mike.
Was there a little high haze?

A grand image Michael, its looks like an image you'd see years ago with high quality photographic film.

Yes, it was hazy.
However, when taking an image of the Moon with a camera, the haze doesn't really show up due to the difference in contrast between the background sky and the brightnes of the Moon. However, I processed the image to try and show the glow in the sky around the moon to more accurately reflect how one sees it.

Michael,

Thats as nice a pic of the Moon that I've seen in quite some time. I'd take my hat off to you if I had one:)

Well done!

Regards and Clear Skies,

Dave.

Very impressive!
You nailed it without a shadow of a doubt.

The full moon is a tough target every time.
It'd be great to see an apogee next to it for comparison.
