Hi all,
I realise this is no "Bird" or "Carl O Beirnes" image, but anyway here it is.
I got my first chance to attempt to image Saturn last night and here is the result.
CGE 11SCT, Philips spc900 c/w a 2x Barlow. There was alot of noise on the AVIs.
[edit] Photo removed from Flickr after seeing it on a decent monitor [edit]
Stacked in registax, Levels, curves, dodging in PS CS2

Well Steve,
Not pushing the image scale beyond what the seeing will deliver is as important as focusing.
You'll find that if you don't use a barlow you'll find focusing easier and it makes for good practice before using a barlow where everything becomes more difficult.

Thanks lads.
Dave, after tearing down the rig last night, with hindsight I regretted not getting a Non-Barlowed version, particularly as I was not using it (the barlow)for the Lunar imaging I was doing earlier..... Next time, however!!!

I gave the processing another go on that batch. This is using less (but higher quality frames). Still not sharp, but not as noisey.
