Hi Steve,
Did you cut out and paste the planets image onto a black background? I'd try and blend the planet into the background a little more.

Dave,
It turned out that my monitor was not properly callibrated (only discovered by me when looking at the images on another machine, and went  ). So I probably pushed the processing too far on those, hence the copy and paste look.
Anyway, thanks to your good advice, I managed to give it another go without the barlow tonight in the company of SaturnV, (thanx for the company Tony!!). I have to say you were spot on Dave, easier to focus and the machine grabbed alot more usable frames. here is the result from 16th Feb. no barlow:
...... I just hope my monitor callibration is a bit better this time, during the stacking and processing stage.

Well done Steve much better nice and sharp, great detail. My monitor is giving me a lot of problems It's to hard to get the right balance .As you properly know laptops are not the best for doing planetary imaging with anyway.Best to use a computer OMG I have to spend more money.

MUCH better image.
What wavelet settings are you using?
It looks like its pushed too far in NO4 / No5.
If you find that you are getting a dull image and
need to push those levels to get detail,
try playing around with the brightness/contrast setting
before hand.
You can always adjust it further in PS
