Believe it or not Dave I Have a 0.8x field flattener To be honest I don't it's coma.if any of the DSO experts have any ideas I'm all ears on this one.

Carl,

Given that the stars are egging in different directions I would think that the ccd chip is not exactly perpendicular to the opitcal axis. How is the ccd attached to the scope?

I usually dont comment much beyond
'well done' or 'that looks great' because I know feck all about DS imaging but from what I see from the
other lads posting here that looks very good under the conditions you took it in.
