Yeah Jeff they are. I did notice that the dimmer (upper) proms were quite dynamic so the detail probably changed quite quickly.
I was wondering about setting up a solar alerting/reporting/discussion group. Maybe the group could share emails/mobile Nos in order to alert other members of solar activity as its not always possible to be near a pc.
I'm intrigued by the imaging/sketching comparisons thats been happening over the last year & it might be good to formalise it a bit????

There was a group of guys on CloudyNights that did something along those lines this spring. On a certain day they did sketches/images at certain times (I think on each hour, but I'm not sure) and then compared them. They had I think 5 or 6 participants from England and the States. They had planned on another one this fall, but as the orchestrators were on the UK side I expect it never happened because of the abysmal weather.
I'd certainly be game for any attempt along those lines (or along any other lines someone might devise). I don't have a cell phone, but I work from home so I am on the computer most of the day Mon - Thurs.
