Hi Dave,
Have taken your advice and ran the image of Jupiter through Photoshop and see a definite improvement, so I will take a lot more time when processing in the future. I will post the image on another post, Thanks again.

Aiden - your images are a very good start - way better than my first feeble attempts.

I'm sure you are keen to improve so, here's some (optional) pointers:

1. Concentrate on the equipment (e.g. collimation and focusing*), not too much on the software right now. A really good image requires little processing. Rubbish images require lots of processing to make them look good. I know - I've spent hours trying to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.

2. Take your time and concentrate on one thing at a time - start with collimation - nail that before you move onto focusing.

3. Don't get too hooked on technicalities - have some fun too

4. Keep posting your images here - there is a wealth of collective knowledge and people are very kind with their time in pointing others in the right direction.

Dave

* I'm not sure whether the perceptible blurring of your images is a collimation issue, a focusing issue or a bit of both. So whilst others have commended the focusing, I'm not so sure. So don't rule it out - leave it on the "to-do" list

Thanks Dave,
Your are right of course, I am trying to run before I can walk, got to relax and get back to enjoying my scope, learn how to collimate and stop trying to do too much too quickly.
