If you can get that image scale and detail on a night with good seeing, I'm will really look forward to you posting them. So I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

:>)) Thanks Dave.It was great fun Imaging Jupiter the Moon was around so I said what the hell go for it. Now I've got to clear 600GB of AVI's of my HDD life is so hard :>))

Great images Carl, the amount of detail in the clouds is fantastic.

As you say, the seeing is a serious limitation at many locations in Ireland. In attempting to extract maximum detail from my own much more puny efforts, I noticed that the automatic quality rating in Registax does not accord very well with my qualitative visual rating. Manually selecting the best frames gives significantly sharper results. Of course I may be doing something stupid in Registax, but I would be interested to hear your opinion. I used Lynkeos on a Mac to process the same avi files and it did a noticeably better job.

Before clearing your hard disk, consider manually checking each frame in the 600Gb of data ;-).

Thanks for posting those images.

yea, , the seeing is a real pain the ass, I can see the details are trying to break through the seeing but are been smothered out our damned bad atmosphere here.
All the same Carl, I'd still be happy with those shots.
