Jupiter, though a 20" scope

Hi all,
Looks like everyone was out last week during the freezing weather to get some images of Jupiter I suppose you got to get them while you can, it could be a while before we get a chance again I guess....
I recently installed a new fan and thermometers on my 20" scopes primary mirror, to get it cooled faster. I managed to get it down to 1.4 Celsius above ambient (I didn't want to push it any further down incase it dewed over), so I tried out some imaging of Jupiter to see what I could get.
So this is 700 images stacked out of a sequence of 3500. click image to see proper size

I reduced the image scale abit to take out some of the graininess and added a bigger black surround.
The seeing was average, with moments of good steadiness, so I was able to use a 7mm (357x) and 5mm (500x) eyepieces at times. At 500, the moons were clearly tiny disks and had some colour. The eyepiece view was pretty much as you see it here, except not as colorful.
The higher altitude of Jupiter as seen from here compared to previous years has made a big differance. !!

Looks like GRS junior has a little white hollow in the middle, maybe it should be called the great red doughnut

I'm seriously considering installing a little 40mm fan about 3-4 inches above the center of the primary mirror, in the shadow of the secondary mirror, to remove thermal boundary layers from the surface of the primary... its only an idea though

Spectacular photo, Dave. Thank you for putting on this website. It seems we have 2 Red Spots at the moment. And 3 white spots south of them. The North Equatorial Belt appears to be split in two -or is that the North Temperate Belt just to its north? Jupiter experts can explain that one! The South Temperate Belt looks very strong before it reaches the Great Red Spot, then fades brilliantly as it heads for the 2nd small Red Spot.

Excellent image, Dave. Superb detail and wonderful colour. One question though - assuming you're using 30fps or lower with the toucam - shouldn't you aim to stack a small number of frames taken over a short duration?
