no problem at all Tony,
its good to spread the knowledge, I've used wcrmac to change the firmware, you might be able to fix it using that.
Never used WcCtrl, its screen shots look good, must give it a go

Hi Simon,
nope, no eyepiece projection here, did use a 3x televue barlow though, the planets disk itself was reduced in size by 20% to squash the noise out of the image as I hadn't enough frames.
just to go back to the imaging acquisition for a sec, I should have been a little clearer, it is the original vrecord software but uses the newer spc900 exposure/menu windows, as far as I can remember its better layed out then the orig toucam exposure software. I had a quick look at the capture programs mentioned, here are my very quick impressions of them, I might stand corrected on some of this as it was a quick look,
1, WcCtrl, camera controls are split into 2 pages, as opposed to the spc900 software having them all in the one page, thats a minus, but the ability to save settings is very useful.
2, iris, this looks more like a processing program and seems to be for cdd/dslr cameras? at a glance....
3, firecapture, nice program, allows for frame quality control when capturing, no point saving really bad frames, still uses spc900 camera control menu, similar functionality to astrosnap.

Hi Dave,
Thats looks class really sharp great detail. Heres a littls trick using Photoshop. Goto filter-noise-despeckie. If that makes the image to soft hit edit-fade despeckie. just add a new layer before making any adjustments. Hope this helps a small bit.
Carl.
