Nicely done!
You managed to get good consistency across the time lapse. I'd tried something similar recently but there was a lot of variation in the frames despite them being processed the same way, not sure if it was fluctuating seeing or an error on my part.

Well done again John It really is a fantastic image. You can see the way the seeing dropped nothing at all to do with the processing. You could have the best equipment in the world if the seeing isn’t right you have no chance. I’m looking forward to seeing what we can get out of your images once we run them through Winjupos. BTW I have Damian Peach coming over for a weekend to give some imaging classes at the shop should be great weekend.
Well done again mate.
Carl.

Thanks all! It was a bit of an obsession. Ive gotten some shorter time lapses before but this is the one I wanted to get when i first got the telescope, very satisfied with how it turned out. Whats most amazing of all is that the sky stayed cleat that long
Carl I finally figured out de-rotation in WinJupos like you suggested. It really makes a massive difference! I can use linked wavelets now in Registax without introducing massive noise. Check out the comparison below. This is a single image from the time lapse. The top is my standard processing with the maximum wavelets I could apply without a lot of noise, the bottom image is using the 5 nearest stacks de-rotated in WunJUPOS. Maybe I'll do this for every frame of the animation, eventually heh. Thanks for putting me on to WunJUPOS, its a great help!

I've used it for combining RGB images and it makes a noticeable difference. But I haven't noticed an improvement on running relatively short video frames through it - perhaps my raw video is just not good enough quality to notice the difference
Edit: just saw the updated images Use winjupos to derotate the nearby stacked images - makes more sense now.

It takes a while If you find any ways to automate the process a bit I'd love to hear it!
