Well Seamus,
You've just described how many here got into astronomy at an early age. There are many types of astronomers here, observers, imagers, sketchers, cosmologists and equipment nuts like myself, I think you're going to like it here.

I wonder how long it will be before aperture fever strikes Seamus?

Hi my names Ben im 11 and my dad is John Murphy i have always wanted to join this website but i thought i was to young at the age of 8 so Im 11 now i and I really hope i fit in
