Charles,
Is it supposed to be 4 -5 seconds long, thats all I get, I can hear a varing high pitch which I presume is the station, and static in the background, is this the meteor activity?

Guys I just checked Eir-con and the file is 2.75mb, try refresh in ur browser, it is about 2 minutes long, unless u have broadband it will take a while to load, try right click and "save target as..........whatever"
What you skould hear alongside the static or background noise is a carrier varying from time to time due to reflections being picked up on my side from the ionised trails left by meteors, the carrier is not always audible but with high meteor activity multiple long lasting trails allow amazing activity to be recorded at around 50mhz.....
Aurora warning though none detected here at the moment

Dave - I've had this problem with QuickTime opening the source. Its been going on for weeks. The file is large but QT only plays the first few seconds, then nothing. Refresh doesn't seem to help. If I really wnated to listen to a file, I just download it now. But I can't download Charles' without a link on his site...

funny thing there is that I tried do a "save link as" and i got the 2MB+ file but neither quicktime/winamp/wmedia player will open it, and all I get in the browser with quicktime is 5 seconds in firefox, BUT I get it all in quicktime using internet explorer.... strange or what ?!?
