For once it was perfectly clear here in Kerry. So with compas in hand I pointed the camera at a gap in the hills and got this (out of focus) image at 20:42bst.
A little later 20:59bst it had cleared the turbines,
this is the second partial in a year and clear skies for both

The Moon was clear of cloud in the sports fields of Gonzaga College tonight, great view, and nice to meet up again with SDAS members

Remember the last total eclipse - in autumn 2004? Jaysus that was not a nice night!

Hi,
Got a nice view of the Partial Lunar Eclipse rising over the Irish Sea from Skerries, Co. Dublin.
First seen at 19.04 UT as it appeared large as a pale orange apparition.
Uploaded a picture to the files section on this site (not sure of how to link to it here). It called "lunar eclipse jon.jpg". Taken with a Pronto operating
at a focal length of 384mm.
