I did the Antarctica 2003 eclipse from the air. It's definitely worth doing once from a plane! Cost is a big issue (although there are ways to lower it - media involvement and such) but even bigger is getting an airline and a willing and skillful pilot.
Colm Barrington is an ex-pupil. Maybe we could start there...

Can anyone remember if this worked?

Do you think it could get rid of the clouds?
I wonder how expensive it would be to get done...

After one look at this planet any visitor from outer space would say; "I WANT TO SEE THE MANAGER".

Graham - I just wasted 14 minutes of my life watching a man make a contraption that did not result in a bang.
For 14 minutes I want bang for buck - mystical energy from crystals - doesn't cut it for me.
Keep up the research - you might strike lucky...

Graham - whilst watching the videos I was even checking where I could get copper pipe from - only to get to the end of the second video and thing "what?" I was expecting to see him "light the blue touch paper" and stand well back... And where the heck do you get those crystals anyway?
Disappointed (especially with the current forecast)
