Clouded out here, now thats sheer dedication!!, well done to the guys in SAC and Keith, probably the coldest night in 10 years and ye braved it, how did ye get up that hill Frank in that snow..snow mobile?

Yee SAC lads are mad :woohoo: It was ok for me, I shot from the backgarden.
Paul, I like the shot 0722, to me it gives the impression of a small comet (or am I now the mad one? ) :woohoo:

Hi,
Good to see your nice images and observing under such difficult conditions. Here, we had a snowstorm last evening but I cleared a small area in the garden (which has since filled in with today's snow).
I was able to observe and photo through gaps in a cloud bank. Shortly after the start of totality the moon succumbed to cloud. I made the umbra a fairly bright, orange colour.
I used my 130mm refractor. Details with the images.

I got to see quite a lot of the eclipse but from the comfort of my conservatory, wrapped up in a duvet! I did venture outside just before 8am but not for long - we had lovely clear skies here in Waterford though so very lucky when I read what some of you had to contend with.
