Yee SAC lads are mad :woohoo: It was ok for me, I shot from the backgarden.

Paul, I like the shot 0722, to me it gives the impression of a small comet (or am I now the mad one? ) :woohoo:

Keith..

Hi,

Good to see your nice images and observing under such difficult conditions. Here, we had a snowstorm last evening but I cleared a small area in the garden (which has since filled in with today's snow).

I was able to observe and photo through gaps in a cloud bank. Shortly after the start of totality the moon succumbed to cloud. I made the umbra a fairly bright, orange colour.

I used my 130mm refractor. Details with the images.

Happy Christmas,
John

I got to see quite a lot of the eclipse but from the comfort of my conservatory, wrapped up in a duvet! I did venture outside just before 8am but not for long - we had lovely clear skies here in Waterford though so very lucky when I read what some of you had to contend with.
Merry Christmas everyone.....
